Share The Care adult day care

Activities Companion at the Adult Day Care Centers

Volunteers are needed to help with activities, arts and crafts, games, one-on-one companionship, and assistance with serving lunch. Volunteers with a special talent such as singing, storytelling, etc. are always welcome. All volunteers will be working with the Site Director and staff. Volunteers are welcome to serve all day or come in for a few hourson the day(s) of their choosing.

Case Management Internship

BSW Field Education: Intern will work with Director of Family Support Services to gain field experience for Bachelor of Social Work degree. Internship field experiences include assessments, case notes, caregiver follow-up, home visits, phone contact, research, and activities companionship; College Credit eligible. Contact your college internship placement office to arrange internship at Share the Care, Inc.

Administrative Headquarters Volunteers

Our Administrative Headquarters volunteers assist with marketing, special events, and other administrative tasks. Volunteers are welcome to serve all day or come in for a few hours on the day(s) of their choosing.

Service Learning Projects for College Students

Build new community partnerships and further awareness through networking and speaking engagements with local Rotary and Kiwanis Clubs and various organizations; assist with our Annual Caregiver Forum and other Share the Care events.

Assist clients at our Adult Day Care centers; summarize new strategies and related materials to increase patient and caregiver compliance with care plans utilizing the most recent research and best practices.

Raise awareness in the local and state political arena, as well as in our local community about the current needs of our community related to caregivers.

Best practices for family caregivers; family communication tools to enlist familial support and acceptance; providing, obtaining and improving services and resources for people in need.

Summarize new research on topics related to caregiver training and educational programs to be utilized via web-based training and local seminars.

Translate presentations; creation and execution of community engagements to our local Spanish speaking populations.

Volunteers completing more than 20 hours per month and having direct interaction with our clients are asked to undergo a background screening. We do not accept court-ordered volunteers.
